Funeral services for Alma Overton, 93, of Jeffersonville, will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 Locust St., in Jeffersonville. She died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Westminster Health Care Center in Clarksville.
She was a native of Schatwantol, Miss., born Dec. 31, 1915, the daughter of the late Clarence and Charlotte Davis. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Overton, six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews. She was under the care of her nieces, Laverne Vaughn, Phyllis Bowyer and Pauline Shanklin, all of Jeffersonville, and a wide circle of friends.
Visitation at the church will be from 5 p.m. Monday until the time of the service.
