Virginia Pat Hancock

73; of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for Virginia Pat Hancock, 73, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial

in St. Anthony Cemetery. She died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at her home.

She was born July 22, 1936, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to the late Curtis and Gladys Baker Angel. She was a homemaker and a member of Tri-City Baptist

Temple in New Albany, the Eagles Auxiliary 1527 for 37 years, VFW Auxiliary in Jeffersonville, and the Moose Lodge Auxiliary in Sellersburg.

Survivors include her daughters, Debe Mueller, of Clarksville and Kathryn Brewer and her husband, Doug, of Jeffersonville; sons, Steven, Robert and

Louis Hancock, all of Jeffersonville; brothers, Howard "Dick" Angel, of Louisville and Jim Angel, of New Washington; sisters, Clara Combs, of New

Albany, Regina Smith, of Jeffersonville and Ruth Lombari and her husband, Dick, of Orlando, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis H. Hancock; son, Patrick "Herbie" Hancock; grandson, Ryan P. Hancock and great-grandson, Chris Smith.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the family in care of Coots Funeral Home, 120 West Maple St., Jeffersonville, 47130.
