Robert Lee Brocar Sr.

79; of Borden

Funeral services for Robert Lee Brocar Sr., 79, of Borden, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial in Sellersburg Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was a retired butcher for Koch Meat Company in Louisville, as well as Greyhound Market in Clarksville. He was a former scout master and a member of Carr Township Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Vashti Haas Brocar; two sons, Robert “Bobby” Borcar and his wife, Tina, of Charlestown and Gary Brocar and his wife, Susan, of Corydon; four daughters, Linda Jones and her husband, Larry, of Sellersburg, Juanita Hobbs and her husband, Jerry, of New Washington, Jenny Meyer and her husband, Tim, of Pekin and Rose Thomas and her husband, Doug, of Elizabeth; a sister, Helen Kleiber and her husband, Ray, of Taswell; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Carr Township Baptist Church Building Fund.
