Funeral services for Tiffany Gabrielle Nolte Stewart Rhodes, 41, of Lancaster, Calif., formerly of Madison, Versailles and Greenville, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, with interment in St. Magdelene Cemetery, Madison. She died suddenly Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, in Los Angeles.
She was born Sept. 28, 1968, in Louisville, the daughter of Dennis L. and Mary G. Payne Nolte. She was raised in Greenville and resided her summers in Madison. She enjoyed reading, riding horses and loved all animals. She was raised Catholic and was a member of the St. Mary’s of Navilleton in Floyds Knobs. She had resided in California since 1984. She was always a smiling, beautiful young lady, who was the light of any social event.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Mary Geraldine Payne and Paul Everman, of Versailles; daughter, Alissa Paige Stewart, of Versailles; son, James Lyle Rhodes Jr., of Lancaster, Calif.; maternal grandmother, Mary Payne, of North Vernon; sister, Lisa Carole Naville and her husband, Jeffrey, of Floyds Knobs; brother, Michael Troy Nolte and his companion, Spencer Turner, of North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Jessica, Amanda, Ryan, Shane and Luke; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis L. Nolte who died Feb. 16, 2004, her paternal grandparents, Robert J. and Cornelia “Connie” Negley Nolte; her maternal grandfather, Edward Gerald Payne; and her husband, James Lyle Rhodes Sr.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 5 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., today, and after 11 a.m. Sunday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Tiffany Stewart Rhodes Memorial Fund. Cards are available at the funeral home.
