A funeral Mass for Michael P. Fritz, 43, of New Albany, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, 3033 Martin Road, Floyds Knobs, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Hobart Beach Post 1693 in New Albany and St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs.
Survivors Include his mother, Lee Gibson Bowling of New Albany; father, Robert J. Fritz of New Albany; sisters, Debbie Lacy of Lanesville, Angela Schickel of New Salisbury, Shannon Kamer of New Albany, and Paula Rottet of New Albany; brother, Gary Bowling of New Albany; and his canine companion, Lucy.
Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, Spring Street Chapel, New Albany, from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 4 p.m.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Feed the Children, P. O. Box 36, Oklahoma City, OK, 73101 in his memory.
