Funeral services for Alma Irene Haub, 95, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Silver Street United Methodist Church, 413 Silver St., New Albany, with burial in Palmyra Cemetery, Palmyra. She died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.
She was the former Alma Irene Martin, a native of Palmyra, an avid gardener, a longtime member of Palmyra United Methodist Church, and currently, a member of Silver Street United Methodist Church. She dearly loved her family, friends and her church family.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen A. Payne and her husband, Arlen, of New Albany; son, Kevin Haub and his wife, Paula, of Seymour; a brother and sister; grandchildren, Kim Davis and her husband, Jim, Greg Payne and his wife, Laura, Marty Haub and his wife, Rhonda, Christa Haub Danner and her husband, Neal; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Bill” Haub; son, Albert Haub, Jr.; her parents, Grover and Rozenia Pearl Martin; and brother, Marvin “Bud” Martin.
Visitation will be at the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home, New Albany, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, and 10 a.m. to noon, Monday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Silver Street United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
