Funeral service for Beatrice F. Parkerson, 89, of North Vernon, formerly of Charlestown, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Grayson Funeral Home, in Charlestown, with burial in Bardstown Cemetery, in Bardstown. She died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Jennings Healthcare Center, in North Vernon.
She was born on March 8, 1920 in Neon, Ky., to Millard and Sarah Smith Frazier. She worked as a LPN, and was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church in Charlestown.
Survivors include her daughter Carolyn Sue Ellis of North Vernon; a brother Elwood Frazier of Red Fox, Ky.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Louie Parkerson; sisters Mary Hale and Peggy Collins; brothers Lee Frazier, Paul Frazier, Bill Frazier and Frank Frazier.
Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, Nov. 24, beginning at 9 a.m.
