Funeral services for Michael J. Turner, 59, of New Albany, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Meeks Funeral Chapel, 415 East Washington St., Muncie, with burial in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. He died at his residence in New Albany.
He was a native of Muncie, and a retired superintendent with the Indiana-American Water Company. He was a member of Silver Street United Methodist Church in New Albany, Masonic Lodge 229 in New Burlington, and Moose Lodge in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include his children, Jeffrey Turner and his wife, Kathleen, of Nashville, Tenn., Jennifer Harders and her husband, Paul, of Milwaukee; mother, Virginia Taylor of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sisters, Karen Griffith and her husband, Bill, and Lynne Turner, all of Cleveland, Tenn.; and grandchildren, Marques, Mikalya, and Madelyn Harders.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jana Turner; and father, Jack Turner.
Visitation will be at Kraft Funeral Service, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, and at Meeks Mortuary, Muncie, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, PO Box 650309, Dallas, Texas, 75265.
