Funeral services for Duris A. “Duke” Hill, 82, of Clarksville, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 25, at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, with interment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.
He was born in Paoli, and was a member of Colgate Baptist Church, Clarksville. He was retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 181 District 1 in Henderson, Ky., and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Edna E. Hill; son, Larry Samples and his wife, Ann, of Sellersburg; daughter, Carolyn Churchman and her husband, Robert, of Louisville; brother, Robert “Bob” Hill and his wife, Frances, of Paoli; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Hill and 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
