A funeral Mass for Sue Haller Byrley, 81, of New Albany, was held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Albany, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. She died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at her home.
She was a native of New Albany and retired from the Bell South Company after more than 35 years of service. She was a volunteer at Floyd Memorial Hospital and the Soup Kitchen. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was active in the preparation of the bereavement meals.
Survivors include her son, Anthony Byrley and his wife, Latisha; two daughters, Brenda Byrley Curl and her husband, Roger, and Teresa Byrley Bierly; six grandchildren, Stephanie Steele and her husband, Corey, Brooke Curl, Bradley Bierly and Chris, Jessica and Dalton Byrley; and three great grandchildren, Wyatt, Mylee and Maycee and another one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Byrley and a brother, Jim Haller.
Visitation was at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook, Dieckmann and Naville Funeral Homes from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
