Joseph William Jenks III, 63, of Brooksville, Fla., died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at his home.
He was born in New Albany, and came to the Florida area 12 years ago from Bucyrus, Ohio. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and Lutheran by faith. He enjoyed fishing and reading and was always ready to help somebody in need.
Survivors include a son, Troy Joseph Jenks of Galion, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jay Brown, of Marion, Ohio; mother, Maxine Call, of Kokomo; sister, Shari Jenks Loges, of E. Haddam, Conn.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph W. Jenks Jr.; and two brothers, Richard and Thomas Jenks.
The family requests that donations may be made to The Salvation Army.
