A graveside service for LaVerne McLean, 101, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Riverbend Assisted Living.
She was born on March 3, 1911, in Otisco, to the late Charles and Anna DeCamp.
She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, Lois Wulf and her husband, David, of Ft. Myers, Fla., David DeCamp and his wife, Karen, of Marysville, Robert Lieber and his wife, Caron, of California, Patti Burrows, of Colorado, Susan Fair, of Hartford, Conn., Kathy Banks and her husband, Jim, of Reno, Nev., and Louisa Janovicz and her husband, Mike, of Carmel; several great nieces and great nephews; and a special friend, Timothy Eger, of Sellersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Archibald McLean Jr.; two sisters, Myrtle Shephard and Dale Graves; and two brothers, Charles “Bruce” DeCamp and Glenn DeCamp.
The family of Ms. McLean wishes to express their sincere thanks to all the caregivers at Riverbend Assisted Living, Right at Home and Hosparus for their love and care. Special thanks to Cierra Davis whom she loved like a granddaughter and was her constant companion.
