Funeral services for Tommy E. Perkins, 74, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with cremation to follow. He died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired Navy veteran and fought in the Korean War and Vietnam. He was also retired from Veterans Administration in Louisville. He was a member of Backyard Classics Car Club and taught at Ivy Tech. He was a recreational officer at AmVets.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn A. Perkins; daughter, Rosemarie A. Clifford and husband, Joe, of Jeffersonville; sister, Evelyn R. Carroll and husband, Kenneth, of Jeffersonville; grandchildren Cynthia L. Davis and husband, Chris, of Vine Grove, Ky., and Barbara J. Mitchell and husband, Gervasio, of Jeffersonville; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances L. Perkins; first wife, Marilyn J. Perkins; son, Tommy E. Perkins Jr.; and sister, Ramona Ringo.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
