Funeral services for John R. Ison, 57, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was a crane operator at Medals U.S.A. He was a past commander at American Legion Post 35 and a Vietnam War Veteran. He was a native of Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia HarrIson, of Jeffersonville; daughter, Candice Ison and husband, James Groves, of Shepherdsville, Ky.; stepsons, James P. Hubbard, of Corbin, Ky., Daniel R. Hubbard, of New Albany, and Joseph D. Hubbard, of Jeffersonville; mother, Carla J. Bashlor, of Yankney, West Va.; brothers, Robert J. Ison, of Kingman, Ariz., and Michael Hann, of Denver, Colo.; sister, Ginger Roberts, of Dayton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe B. Ison.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 1, at the funeral home.
