A funeral Mass for Charles R. “Sonny” Bursby, 65, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 1840 East Eighth St., Jeffersonville, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. He died at home Feb. 4, 2010.
He was a founding member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. He was owner and operator of Kaelin Water Conditioning Company and also worked as a train operator for Merchant Grain. He was a loving family man and his grandkids were the light of his life. He enjoyed camping and volunteering at Sacred Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon L. Bursby; daughters, Sheri A. Payne and her husband, Bill, and Mari Beth Whitten and her husband, Tim; and grandchildren, Billy Payne, Sara Beth and Mari Kate Whitten.
Visitation will be at Coots’ Sons Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic School.
