Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Meece, 80, of Otisco, will be at noon Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Bethany Cemetery, Louisville. She died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Scott Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 16, 1932 in Franklin County, Ky. to George W. and Elaine Webster Reading. She was a retired bus driver of 16 years for Head Start, worked as a Tupperware sales manager, and was a former nurse at Central State Hospital in Kentucky. She was also member of the Otisco United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Meece, of Otisco, and George Kevin Meece and his wife, Angela, of Otisco; daughters, Nancy L. Absher (Woodrow Jamison) of Otisco, and Linda S. Larson and her husband, Gary, of Memphis; stepson; William Curtis Meece, of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gus Wade Meece Sr., son, Gus Wade Meece Jr.; stepson; Charles A. Meece, sister, Hallie J. Keith, and brothers; Howard and Alvin Reading.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
