A memorial celebration of the life of Judith Ann Glotzbach Parker Crowder, 71, of Henryville, will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15, at Louisville Slugger Field in the Jack Daniels Lounge. She died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 7, 1941 in New Albany, to Joseph and Alice Wismann Glotzbach and was one of seven children. She was a member of the first graduating class of Holy Family Catholic School in New Albany and went on to study with the Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute. She then worked in Louisville at A.P. Lee Insurance Agency/National Insurance for 35 years and retired from Euler Hermes, Inc. earlier this year. She enjoyed many interests throughout her life, including gardening, league bowling and Louisville Bats baseball. As a season ticket holder for more than 20 years, and a mainstay at every home game, she was a devoted fan and member of the Louisville Bats Diamond Club. She was also an active member of the Sellersburg Moose Lodge 1757.
Survivors include her three sons, Steve and his wife, Paula, Mike and his wife, Julie, and David Parker and his wife, Sharon; a daughter Lisa Gilkey and her husband, Pat; eight grandchildren, Nathaniel, Emily and Ryan Parker, Jenna Parker, David Anthony and Madeline Parker, and Kaylan and Rachel Gilkey; six siblings, brothers, Robert Glotzbach, of Macon, Ga., Bill Glotzbach, of Palmyra, and Jerry Glotzbach, of New Albany; and sisters, Pat Bruce, of Elizabeth, and Eileen Mason, of Pahrump, Nev.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles E. Crowder (2011) and her brother, John R. Glotzbach (2011).
All family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service.
Cremation has been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home in Henryville.
