Funeral services for Ruth Virginia Brown, 89, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Scott Funeral Home, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville. She died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.
Ruth retired from Heritage Hardwoods of Kentucky and was a member of Eastside Christian Church in Jeffersonville.
Survivors include her two children, Phyllis Schickel and her husband, David, and Venita Tindor and her husband, William; a sister, Zelma Bowling; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank T. Brown Sr.; her parents, Ollie and Edna Parker; four children, Frank T. Brown Jr., Rodney A. Brown, Marsha G. Hobbs and Joy A. Brown; and three sibilings.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hosparus of Southern Indiana or the Eastside Christian Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
