Funeral services for David L. Martin, 81, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth. She died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.
He retired from Nemco Fabricators in Louisville, and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed both fishing and hunting. He was born Dec. 18, 1930 in Elizabeth, to the late George and Susie Pillman Martin.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Martin and his wife, Patty, and Robert “Bobby,” Charles, David, and Diana Heitz; sister, Grace Wilson and her husband, Henry; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Jerry Heitz, and several siblings.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
