Funeral services for Evelyn Kathleen McKinley Wagner, 83, of Jeffersonville, will b e at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, Jeffersonville. She died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in Mequon, Wis.
She was born Dec. 18, 1926, to Harry and Lillian Voyles McKinley. She attended Borden Church of Christ from an early age. She married Edgar Wagner on Dec. 24, 1944. To this union, one son, Alan, was born. Ed and Kathleen relocated to Jeffersonville in 1965, at which time they visited several churches before selecting Eastside Christian Church as their church home. Ed was a deacon at Eastside when he passed away in 1980. In 2007, Kathleen moved to Grafton, Wis., to be near Alan and his family. She always considered herself to be a Hoosier even though she resided in Wisconsin.
Survivors include a son, Alan and his wife, Ellyn; her grandson, Eric Wagner and his wife, Heather, their children, Elliot and Adelyn, and by her granddaughter, Erin Wagner Schoedel and her husband, Eric, and their son, Spencer.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Eastside Christian Church or the American Heart Association.
