Funeral services for Maurice “Marcy” Ray Elliott, 77, of Clarksville, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5, at Scott Funeral Home’s North Chapel, Jeffersonville, with a graveside service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.
He was born in Lexington, Ky., and was a retired Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, and a retired maintenance mechanic for General Electric.
Survivors include his son, Timothy Elliott, of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughter, Linda Clark and her husband, Curtis, of Clarksville; sisters, Lois Morris and her husband, Robert, of Clarksville, and Doddie Zimmerman, of Palmyra,; and grandson, Mark Clark, of Clarksville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Moore Elliott; his parents, Edgar and Neila Elliott Barber; and brothers, Deward Elliott, Pella Francis Elliott and Billy Elliott.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, and from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Humane Association of Clark County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
