Funeral services for Betty Joy Brunson, 86, of New Albany, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7,. at E.M. Coots’ Son Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. She died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Lincoln Hills Health Center, New Albany.
She was a registered nurse, and a member of Community of Christ Church in New Albany.
She is survived by her husband, Warren Brunson; sons, Rick Rhodes, of Dallas, and Jack Harris, of Louisville; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Marie Metzger, son, Ned Rhodes, and daughter, Debra Harris-Murray.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kosair’s Children’s Hospital or to Glenwood Hills Campground (envelopes will be available at the funeral home).
