Funeral services for Joseph O. Eiler Jr., 75, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.
He served in the Air National Guard, served 25 years as supervisor for International Harvester, and retired from the New Albany Housing Authority. He was a member of Jacob’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge #39 Pythagoras-33rd Degree Mason, and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lucas Eiler, of New Albany; son, Jeff and his wife Becky, of New Albany; daughter, Terri Snyder and her husband Ed, of New Albany; sister, Marie King, of Paoli; grandchildren, Brent Kochert, Owen Eiler, Emily Eiler and Olivia Eiler.
Visitation will be Friday from 12 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. and anytime after 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Jacob’s Chapel United Methodist Church in memory of Joseph O. Eiler Jr.
