Funeral services for Emma Dee Metcalf, 87, of New Albany, were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany. He died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Lincoln Hills Health Center with her family by her side.
She was a member of Clarksville Church of Christ, and was a dedicated mother and worked hard all her life.
She is survived by four daughters, Lura Ann Magers and her husband, Kenneth, Pamela Rose Coffey and her husband, James, Emma Francis Dorman and her husband, Glenn, and Jennie Dawn Quinn and her husband, Larry; two sons; Dudley Wayne Metcalf, and Elbert Dee Metcalf and his wife, Luann; two sisters, Lucy Lingenfelter and Fanny Mulberry; 23 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Bernard Dee Metcalf, and four sons, Gilbert Reffett, Tommy Reffett, Roy Metcalf, Homer Ray Reffett Jr.
Memorial Expressions can be made to American Cancer Society.
Visitation was Monday at the funeral home.
