Marilyn Jane S. Kulp, 79; of Floyds Knobs

Funeral services for Marilyn Jane S. Kulp, 79, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at Kraft Funeral Services, Charlestown Road Chapel, New Albany, with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Floyd Memorial Hospital & Health Services, New Albany.

Marilyn also owned and operated Marilyn Jane’s Beauty Shop for 50 plus years. She and her husband, Paul H. Kulp Jr., owned and operated Scenic Valley Service Center. She was a founding member of and attended the First Southern Baptist Church on Lakeview Drive in Floyds Knobs. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother — known to her grandchildren as “Moo” and also “Nu-Nu”. She has left a strong legacy behind that will continue for generations to come.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Charles Staton Jr.; and brother, Benton Myers.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and after 11 a.m. Friday.
