Murel C. Cartright, 87; of Charlestown

Funeral services for Murel C. Cartright, 87, of Charlestown, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008, at Green Valley Care Center, in New Albany.

She was born on Nov. 26, 1920, in Clark County to Clyde and Mayme Clapp, and was a retired employee of Reliance Electric in Madison. She was a member of the New Market Christian Church.

Survivors include her sons, Randall Cartright, of Marysville, and Jerry Cartright, of Charlestown; daughters, Barbara Robinson, of Freeport, N.Y., Charlotte Rush, of Louisville, and Anita Akers, of Tampa, Fla.; sister, Juanita Nash, of Marysville; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
