Judy S. Veasey, 57; Floyds Knobs resident

Funeral services for Judy S. Veasey, 57, of Floyds Knobs, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at New Beginnings Community Church, 104 Wooded Valley, New Albany (I-265 and State Street), with private burial to follow in Abundant Life Memorial Park, New Albany. She died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services.

She was born Jan. 23, 1951, to the late Stanley Howard and Marcia Margoleen (Waddell) Sexton in Glasgow, Ky. She held at B.A. in Music from Morehead State University. She was the worship leader, choir director and church secretary at New Beginnings Community Church, New Albany.

Survivors include her husband, Richard E. Veasey; daughters, Faith Sauber and husband Nick and Leah Haas and husband Nathan, both of Borden, and Erin Veasey, New Albany; grandson, Nicholas Smith, Borden; brother, James Howard Sexton, Richmond, Va,; niece and nephew, Morgan Sexton and Galen Sexton, both of Richmond, Va.; brother-in-law, James Veasey and wife Christina, Jeffersonville; sisters-in-law, Jenny Veasey, Borden and Sherry Sexton, Richmond, Va.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 12 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

The family requests expressions of sympathy go to New Beginnings Community Church.
