Elbert W. ‘Jack’ Franklin, 74; of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for Elbert W. “Jack” Franklin, 74, of Jeffersonville, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died Monday, June 22, 2009, at Golden Living Center, Mishawaka.

He was born Oct. 6, 1934, in Sellersburg to the late Jack and Katherine Amos Franklin. He was a business owner/operator of Franklin Tree Service.

Survivors include his sons, Tony W., Ricky, Gary W. and Kevin L. Franklin, all of South Bend; brother, Elmer Franklin, of Evansville; sister, Dorothy Kerberg, of Clarksville; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma F. Franklin; brother, Pete Franklin; and sister, Betty Patterson.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
