Joyce L. Campbell

Joyce L. Campbell, 72; of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for Joyce L. Campbell, 72, of Jeffersonville, were held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, June 25, at Coots Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, with burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. She died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Green Valley Care Center, New Albany.

She was born Dec. 2, 1936, in New Albany, to the late Dewey and Nella Fisher Garrick. She was a retired employee of the Financial Aid Department at the University of Louisville. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of their choir.

Survivors include her husband, Milton V. Campbell, of Jeffersonville; sons, Christopher T. Campbell and his wife, Karen, Michael S. Campbell and Tony B. Campbell and his wife, Keri, all of Jeffersonville; daughters, Angela J. Kendall and her husband, Doug, of Jeffersonville, and Michelle A. Deatrick and husband, Ron, of Ocala, Fla.; sister, Rosella Mayes, of Durham, N.C.; and grandchildren, Brandon, Brent, Kaci, Nicholas, Drew, Kyle and Andrea Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Rocky Mayden.

Visitation at the funeral home was from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Augustine Catholic Church, Jeffersonville.
