Maurice ‘Coach Mo’ Curry, 52; Marine veteran
Funeral services for Maurice “Coach Mo” Curry, 52, of Jeffersonville, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Restoration Christian Church, Sellersburg, with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
He died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 while in the company of family members at his residence.
He was born Oct. 28, 1956, in Horse Cave, Ky. He was a member of Restoration Christian Church, Sellersburg and worked as a maintenance supervisor at Rock Creek Christian Academy, Sellersburg. He served in the U.S. Marines as a Pfc-E2 and was a 1974 graduate of Flaget High School in Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Tambra Britt Curry, of Jeffersonville, whom he married April 26, 1988; his mother and father, Anna Hayes Wagner and Ralph Wagner, of Louisville; four sons, Dominique Curry, of California, David Curry, of Charlestown, Nathan Curry, of Jeffersonville and Mackensy Curry, of Jeffersonville; three sisters, Sharon Johnson, Vickie Rogers and Beverly Alexander, all of Louisville; a brother, Patrick Wagner, of Louisville; and nine grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Rubin Ray Curry; and a brother, Rubin Curry.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday, at the church.
