Vernice Lucille Feller; 85, of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for Vernice Lucille Feller, 85, of Jeffersonville, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home, Corydon, with burial in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. She died Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Providence Retirement Home in New Albany.

She was born March 3, 1924, to the late Ray and Fernie Cunningham Curts. A native of Harrison County, she was retired from the Hoosier Valley Head Start in Jeffersonville and was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in New Albany.

Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn McDonough, of Corydon, and Janice Smith, of Jeffersonville; sisters, Mildred Fisher, of Corydon, and Janice Smith, of Corydon; brother, Archie Curts, of Corydon; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John A. Feller; stepmother, Alma Curts; and sister, Donnie Fessel.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to her church or the Providence Retirement Home.
