Sherri L. Jackson

Sherri L. Jackson, 45; of Jeffersonville

Funeral services for Sherri L. Jackson, 45, of Jeffersonville, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany, with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. She died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

She was a unit secretary at Norton Hospital and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany.

Survivors include her husband, James D. Jackson; a daughter, Melissa Jackson, of Louisville; granddaughter, Desirae Jackson, of Louisville; her mother, Barbara Blakely, of Clarksville; a sister, Krista J. Dehn and husband, Roger, of Memphis; two brothers, John Martin and wife, Misty, of Clarksville and William Martin and wife, Lisa, of Louisville; stepmother, Vivian Boman, of Evansville; two grandmothers, E. Jane Himmelheber-Hays of New Albany and Marie Reesor, of Clarksville; and grandfather, Joseph Boman, of Elizabeth.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack L. Himmelheber Jr.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Oak Street Chapel and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church before the service.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
