Doris Knies, 67; of Charlestown
Funeral services for Doris Knies, 67, of Charlestown, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 218 Schellers Ave., Sellersburg, with burial in Charlestown Cemetery, Charlestown. She died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.
She was born Oct. 3, 1942, in Huntingburg, to Lawrence and Mary Bell Knies. She worked for I.C.I. for 28 years in the sewing and custodial area and was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sellersburg.
Survivors include her brother, David Knies, and her sister, Linda Knies, both of Charlestown.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Janet Knies.
Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
