Ted Kranz, 79; Navy veteran
Funeral services for Ted Kranz, 79, of Sellersburg, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Sellersburg United Methodist Church, with burial in Silver Creek Cemetery. He died Monday, Feb. 1, 2010.
He served his country in the United States Navy as an officer. He was a farmer, and was retired from Farm Credit Services where he served as a loan officer. He was a lifelong members of the Sellersburg United Methodist Church. He also belonged to the American Legion Post 204, Masonic, and Moose Lodges.
Survivors include his daughters, Kay Stiles, of Ballwin, Mo., and Betsy Jones and her husband, Mike, of Noblesville; and grandchildren, Nancy Catherine Stiles and William Thomas Stiles.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Janet Kranz.
Visitation will be at the Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg, from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and at the church after 9 a.m. Friday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Color Guard American Legion Post 204.
