Ivy Etta Jackson Goff, of New Salisbury

Ivy Etta Jackson Goff, of New Salisbury, formerly of Front Royal, Va., died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009.

She was a retired assistant manager of Tastee Freeze and a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church in Front Royal, Va. A native of Craigsville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Walter Franklin Jackson and Elizabeth Sprouse Jackson.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara F. and John D. Cockerham, of New Salisbury; a grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Jeffrey G. and Nicole A. Cockerham; and a great-grandson, Tyler D. and great-granddaughter, Baylie A. Cockerham, all of Georgetown; a sister and brother-in-law, Loraine and Rodney Balser, of Swoope, Va.; a sister-in-law, Annie S. Dickey, of Jeffersonville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James G. Goff on July 12, 1998; four sisters, Virgie J. Kyle, Beatrice J. Sprouse, Louise J. Jackson and Ardella A. Morris; and two brothers, Aubrey B. and Dennis F. Jackson.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Sensabaugh & Zimmerman Funeral Home in Craigsville, Va. Chapman Funeral Home in Clarksville is handling local arrangements.
