Everett Roland ‘Heb’ Wilson, 61; Marine veteran

Funeral service for Everett Roland “Heb” Wilson, 61, of New Albany, will be at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 10, at the Paul F. Kraft Sr. Memorial Chapel at Generations Funeral Home, New Albany. Burial with military honors will follow at Bethesda Cemetery in Elizabeth. He died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at his home.

He was born April 15, 1948, in Harrison County to the late Raymond Lee and Margot Helder Wilson. He was a construction worker at Huelsman-Sweeney Construction Company in Sellersburg. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving in Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion Post 28, New Albany and Veterans of Foreing Wars Post 1427 of Charlestown.

Survivors include his sons, Randy Chandler and his wife, Angela, of Clarksville and Todd Wilson, of New Albany; daughter, Sherri Wilson, of Clarksville; brothers, Robert G. Wilson, of Livermore, Ky., Rowald Kelkboom and his wife, Lynchi, of Sero Blanco, Aruba and Ronald L. Wilson and wife, Paula, of Rockport ; sisters, Ruby J. Lyskowinski and her husband, Tom, of Charlestown, Ruth J. Wilson-Barnes, of Hatfield and Evelyn Rose Barnes, of Crocker, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Lionel “Nel” Kelkboom and brother-in-law, Joe Barnes.

Visitation was from 12 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
