LOUISVILLE —
A Floyds Knobs woman was charged with murder in a Jefferson County, Ky., court Thursday.
Jennifer Hack, 28, of Dona Street, plead not guilty to the charge.
Hack is facing the charge in the death of Mikel Kimbley, 26, of Louisville. Hack is believed to have been involved in an assault on Kimbley that took place Oct. 13, according to Louisville Metro Police officials. Kimbley died several days later, officials said.
Hack was taken into custody Wednesday, after a warrant for her arrest had been issued.
According to WDRB FOX-41 reports, Kimbley was found last month bleeding and lying next to a home on Main Street near 25th Street.
He was taken to University of Louisville Hospital.
WDRB reported that police stated Hack was with Darrell Bryan, 33, of Salem, when Kimbley was struck in the head with an unknown object.
Bryan will also be charged in Kimbley’s murder, the news channel reported.
Bryan is currently in the Floyd County jail on charges involving an unrelated assault. He was arrested Nov. 3 and later charged with aggravated battery, a class B felony, and false informing, a class B misdemeanor.
Hack is scheduled to return to the court for a pretrial sentence in a Jefferson County court on Nov. 19.
She is being held under a $100,000 full-cash bond.
