PROSPECT, Ky. —
Two Jeffersonville men were arrested after police say they broke into a Kentucky man’s home, duct-taped him and threatened him with a gun.
Andre Jones, 28, and Robert Thomasson, 30, went to a home at about 6:10 p.m. Monday in the 7300 block of Hunting Creek Drive, in Prospect, according to the Prospect Police Department. The homeowner knew Jones and let him into the house because he was getting a price for tile work, said Prospect Police Chief Jeff Sherrard.
“They were let into the home under that pretense,” he said.
After they entered the home, Jones and Thomasson allegedly bound the homeowners hands and feet with duct tape. Another individual inside the home overheard a crash and voices threatening the homeowner. He left out of a window and called police, Sherrard said.
Prospect police arrived at the home where the suspects were allegedly holding the homeowner at gunpoint.
They released the homeowner, Sherrard said, and in the process of cutting him loose, he was allegedly cut by one of the suspects. Jones and Thomasson subsequently surrendered to police.
Sherrard said according to arrest documents, Jones and Thomasson allegedly went to the home seeking Xanax, Percocet and cash.
Jones and Thomasson were arrested for robbery, kidnapping and first-degree assault and are being held at Louisville Metro Corrections.
