JEFFERSONVILLE —
A Jeffersonville woman in her 80s was air lifted to University of Louisville Hospital after a vehicular collision Wednesday afternoon on East 10th Street.
The two-vehicle accident occurred about 3 p.m. in front of Grey & Wells Body Shop.
A passenger car driven by the elderly woman and a pick up truck driven by a 40-year-old woman collided as the car was leaving Grey & Wells and entering oncoming traffic, Jeffersonville Police Detective Todd Hollis said.
He said the pick up truck was traveling westbound on 10th Street and struck the side of the passenger car on the roadway. Hollis declined to release the name of either person involved in the accident until families are notified.
The drivers were the only occupants of the two vehicles, Hollis said.
The woman in the pick up truck was taken to Clark Memorial Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
