LOUISVILLE —
Three schools that serve Indiana families in Louisville sharing a name agreed to merge this summer.
St. Francis School in Goshen, Ky., St. Francis School preschool in Harrods Creek, Ky. and St. Francis High School in Louisville will combine into a single school with three campuses July 1. The schools post-merger name is St. Francis School.
The operations, boards of trustees, employees and assets of all three schools will be combined, but all three campuses will remain where they are. With all three schools combined, St. Francis will be the only independent school organization in Louisville that will serve children from 2 years old until their senior year of high school.
Ben Holt, co-chairman of the St. Francis High School Board, said in a news release that he’s excited to see the schools come together.
“This is a marriage of two like-minded educational institutions,” Holt said. “Each school is similarly positioned, and we are very much in sync in terms of our missions, visions, core values and overall educational philosophies.”
Wes Johnson, co-chairman of the St. Francis High School Board, said students from St. Francis schools have gone to Ivy League schools as well as local colleges after graduation.
“We want everyone to know that a St. Francis education is and will be for generations in the future available for children ages 2 through 18,” Johnson said in a release.
