CLARKSVILLE — Zach, 11, Nate, 7, and Katelyn Gardner, 15, all of Jeffersonville, looked on with their grandfather, Sam Gardner, of Clarksville, as living history interpreter Edwin Eller, of St. Charles, Mo., used Simon Khan, 7, of Louisville, to demonstrate the amputation process while discussing medical practices from the 19th century at the annual Lewis and Clark Heritage Trail meeting at the George Rogers Clark Home Site in Clarksville on Saturday afternoon.
The Lewis and Clark Trail meeting continues today with the raising of colors at 9 a.m., a living history encampment for day campers at the George Rogers Clark Cabin, demonstration stations from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., dinner at Clark’s Cabin at 6:30 and a special presentation at 7 p.m.
