HENRYVILLE —
Country music artist Lady Antebellum has chosen a stage for Henryville’s post-prom party.
According to a press release on the band’s website, the party and benefit concert following it is scheduled for May 16 at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville. Proceeds raised from the show will go to the Disaster Relief Fund through New Hope Services and the Indiana Bankers Association.
Troy Albert, principal at Henryville High School, said he’s glad the students will have a positive memory from this part of their lives.
“We’re looking forward to our kids to have the opportunity to go and meet them at a little event before the concert,” Albert said. “I’m just thankful the community will have the opportunity to see them, too.”
Ticket information has not been released yet for community members who want to attend the benefit concert.
Henryville High School won the show through the band’s prom contest. Silver Creek High School students made a video suggesting the band play at Henryville instead of their school.
