C’town wins Clark Bowl again
The Charlestown Middle School football team won the Clark Bowl for the fourth time in five years on Wednesday night, defeating Silver Creek 16-0.
The Pirates’ touchdowns were by Amado Gomez on a 30-yard run and Bradley Laffoon on a 3-yard run. Gomez and teammate Trey Crace each made a two-point conversion.

Henryville Sports Board elections
The Henryville Youth Sports Board will have elections for open positions on its board at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the Henryville Community Center.
The following positions are up for election: general manager, treasurer, concessions coordinator, fundraiser coordinator, baseball facilities manager, baseball coordinator, football coordinator, softball coordinator.
If interested in running for one of these offices, please send nominations to the hys1@ymail.com or visit henryvilleyouthsports.com. The deadline for nominee submittals is Friday, Oct. 26. Nominees will need to pass a background check.

Southern Indiana United spring tryouts
Southern Indiana United soccer club will have tryouts from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Prosser Field for the 2013 spring season for U15-U19 teams.
Players should complete the select registration form (available at tryouts) and bring a soccer ball, water and shinguards. A parent must sign the medical release on the registration form.
This will be the only tryout for these teams. If a particular coach needs more time, he can schedule an additional tryout.
There is a $10 tryout/registration fee, which covers the cost of the T-shirt. Southern Indiana United will accept only cash or checks made payable to the club. No credit cards will be accepted.
