Lanesville-Charlestown postponed to Friday

The Charlestown home baseball game against Lanesville on Wednesday was postponed on account of weather. 

The game will be made up on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Charlestown Little League Complex. Senior Day festivities will take place prior to the game.

Floyd Central camps

Floyd Central High School head varsity boys’ basketball coach Randy Gianfagna is proud to announce five sessions of boys’ basketball camps available this summer. The five sessions will be May 29-June 1, June 5-7, June 12-14, June 19-21 and June 26-28. 

The camps are open to boys entering grades 3-9 next fall. The camps will feature college guest speakers, daily contests such as 1-on-1, 3-on-3, 5-on-5, shooting, Figure-8 dribble, and slam dunk. 

First-session attendees will receive a basketball and a T-shirt. Particular emphasis will be placed on shooting, ballhandling, dribbling, passing, rebounding and defense.

All sessions will be held at Highland Hills Middle School. The cost per session is $60 or less.
