Xtreme hosting Wildcats tonight at Blair Field

The Kentucky Xtreme minor league football team, a member of the Interstate Football League, will face the 2011 league champion West Central Wildcats from Terre Haute at 7:30 tonight at Jeffersonville High School’s Blair Field.

The Xtreme (0-2) lost a heartbreaker to the Noble County Wolfpack in last Saturday night’s home opener, 22-21. That was on the heels of the Xtreme’s 12-9 loss to the Indiana Cutters the previous week at Bloomington South High School.

The 2012 Xtreme features former University of Louisville standouts Mike Brown, Montrell Jones and Abe Brown. Also on the Xtreme are former University of Kentucky lineman Rick Abrens and former Western Kentucky University defensive backs Rico Neal and Chris Franklin.
