C’town Founders’ Day 5K Run/Walk
The 12th annual Charlestown Founders’ Day 5K Run/Walk will be Saturday, June 23 at Charlestown State Park, starting at 8 a.m.
Race day registration will be from 6:45-7:45 a.m. Registration fees are $17 for pre-registered entrants who sign up on or before Saturday, June 16, and $20 for late entrants.

C’town hosting Ford event
The Charlestown High School boys’ soccer team is hosting a Ford Drive One 4UR School event at Charlestown High School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 19.
For every household who test drives a Ford at this event, Ford will pay the soccer team $20. The driver must be legally licensed and over the age of 18.
The team’s goal is to have 350 people test drive a new Ford. Each test drive will last approximately eight minutes and there will be a brief survey after the test drive.
The vehicles will be provided by Jim O’Neal Ford in Sellersburg.

Diablo Rojas Camp
The Jeffersonville High School girls’ soccer program will hold the first-ever Diablo Rojas Soccer Camp June 4-8 at the Wilson Elementary School football/soccer field in Jeffersonville. Campers will meet each day from 9 a.m.-noon.
The camp is open to players ages 4-14. Cost is $55 for the first camper and an additional $40 for each additional family member.

C’town physicals
Sports physicals for athletes at Charlestown High School and Charlestown Middle School for the 2012-2013 school year will be offered at Charlestown Middle School from 5:30-7 p.m. on Monday, May 21.
All athletes currently in grades 5-11 are encouraged to get their physicals through this event. The cost is $20 and is cash only. A guardian must be present to fill out the necessary paperwork prior to seeing the physician.
Physical forms are available at www.ihsaa.org or through each school’s athletic departments.
