Greater Clark bus involved in wreck

Two people in other vehicle injured

JEFFERSONVILLE — A Greater Clark County Schools bus was involved in an injury wreck Wednesday morning. No one on the bus was hurt.

Bus No. 301 collided with a Toyota Camry at East 10th Street and Nachand Lane at about 11:30 a.m.

Greater Clark Assistant Superintendent Travis Haire said the bus was picking up students for job shadowing. At the time of the wreck, the bus was transporting a Jeffersonville High School student and teacher’s aide.

According to a police officer on scene, two people in the Camry were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The vehicle struck the bus in the intersection and went into a ditch in front of the Youngstown Shopping Center. They were cut from the vehicle.

Haire said it does not appear the bus driver was at fault. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation. Names were not immediately available.
